Alright, we’re all guilty. When we don’t really want to do something we likely feed someone else an excuse. Take a moment today to reflect on the excuses you tend to use. And then ask yourself why you use them.
Is there a reason why you feel like you can’t be honest?
Do you have a hard time simply saying ‘no’? Afraid of letting someone down? Just feeling overwhelmed by all of the things you have on your plate and just can’t add one more thing to the list today when you committed to something a week ago, but now you feel bad for backing out of plans?
Recognize the excuses you find yourself using, seek out the real reason behind why you use them, and then try to just give an honest reason next time.
